At first glance, Adrian appears to be cool as a cucumber. Some may think that nothing could make him snap. As the leader of one of the most prominent clans on the island, he appears composed, charming, and calculating. Those are true. However, once someone gets to know him, they discover that he also loves to laugh and joke around. He believes that nothing good can come from being serious all the time. He keeps the composed mask on in public so that he appears to be someone his clan can lean on (although in his head, he is resisting with all his might not to laugh or crack some sort of a joke). Like most vampires, he is very protective of what he perceives to be his. He has been known to have a cold streak when the occasion calls for it. He is not above killing in cold blood to protect his own, although he tries not to take the killing route if he can help it. He has a distaste for it and would prefer to solve conflicts diplomatically first if he can. Like all vampires, he follows decorum. He takes it another step and follows it to the letter. This extends in ways to how he’s held on to Medieval Chivalry. Over the years he has changed his accent to suit the location that he currently resides in. In this modern era, he has developed a near perfect American accent, his mother tongue, Latin, lightly colors his words, getting heavier when he is angry.

Adrian has an athletic build, a slight tan, with dark brown hair that almost looks black and greyish green eyes. His clothes tend to look expensive and well-tailored.

He has no family left save for his younger brother and sister (twins)
Bio:
Adrian has been around four centuries before the Roman Empire fell. In fact, he grew up in Rome while the empire was still going strong. His position of power has never really changed since his boyhood. He was born to a wealthy vampire family of a prominent clan. He rose to a prominent position in the clan quickly due to his special ability. He took over the clan after his Uncle’s death in the middle of the Middle Ages. Adrian has always very much played the part of a noble and even at one point lorded over a small village.
During the 1500s after the discovery of the new world, Adrian saw that it would be in his and his clan’s best interests to start moving over there. However, he soon found this was too risky for them given how small the settlements were at the time. So when he heard of an island that was just meant for supernaturals, he checked it out to see if he would want to settle there. He fell in love with the place the moment he stepped onto shore. Soon, he had almost his whole clan moved onto the island. Adrian remembers a time when the vampires on the island could take whatever blood they wanted whenever they wanted from the humans. He finds the new restrictions a tad troublesome, but it ultimately does not bother him much. Currently, he spends his time managing his clan and prodding whatever festival or party to have some sort of culture. His most recent venture has been procuring a French vampire to come sing for them at the next festival.
The End of the Segment
Strengths:
He is a very good leader and is not afraid to take charge. His vast years have given him loads of knowledge to pull from when the need arises (but he is not all knowing, sadly)
Weaknesses:
Spending so many centuries on a tiny island has made him bored, so he will most likely play with his prey/enemies just so he can get a few giggles in. Being in his position of power has made him a bit spoiled and uncompromising in many things. He has a tendency to underestimate those far younger than him.
Special Ability:
He is able to sense lies. He can also force the truth out of people. Some of it comes from the person’s scent or heart rate, but the rest is some strong instinct that can detect it. If someone has enough willpower, they will be able to resist this.
How does your character handle the bloodlust
He obeys the Island’s laws and mostly gets it from the blood bank.
