Personality:
Cole is the kind of guy that puts on a nice front so that he can get away with bending the rules...or breaking them. People who don't know him that well will most likely observe that he is quick to smile and chuckle and isn't above humoring others for the sake of getting along. Those that know him well know that he can have a one-track mind when it comes to something he wants and has a rather short temper (he is prone to lots of yelling). He still is quick to laugh or smile, but humoring others is restricted to family only...and he has no family now. To his fellow humans he has nothing but their best interests at heart. He will do what is best for mortals because who else would look after them if not him? Sure! Sometimes one or twelve MAY have to be sacrificed in the process, but it's for the greater good. He takes no pleasure in it. But he must do what must be done.
To any supernatural, he will put on a false friendly face (no need to burn bridges before you have to). He hates all supernaturals, especially those pesky fairies...

Cole was cursed by a fairy with the power over shadows so that he is forever obscured by shadow. The only thing people can see is the evil glint of his glasses. In pre-hexed photos, he is dirty blond hair and green eyes.

Backstory
Family:
Two parents and they are deceased. He had a younger sister, but she died while in the possession of a blood-thirsty fey
Bio:
Cole was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and lived there until he graduated college. His life growing up was fairly normal. When he moved to the east coast for his government job for some mysterious organization that seemed to be a huge secret to most of the population, he became aware of those that may be higher on the food chain than he was comfortable with. One day, his sister came to visit him while she was on spring break and she caught the eye of a fey noble. She was kidnapped and Cole received pieces of her in unmarked boxes on his doorstep for weeks afterwards. When he finally tracked down the fey, he didn't wait or ask for help. He went after the fey by himself. When he arrived he found his sister dead and the fey lord. He was no match. In the end, the Fey decided not to kill Cole. Instead in a moment of whimsy he cursed Cole to be followed by shadows for the rest of his life. He hasn't been able to find the fey since. After that, it was only a matter of time before Cole decided that all supernaturals were evil, and he started a radical group within FASA that would strive to take them down...starting with the hidden island. Cole started out by kidnapping an elf to start out with, as an experiment. Who knows what he will decide to do next.
The End of the Segment
Strengths:
He is good at leading a team of people. He inspires leadership (sometimes through yelling) and is able to find others, like him, that have been spurned by the supernatural in some way. His one track mind gives him the determination to see things through to the very end.
Weaknesses:
He has a foul temper and will vent it on any poor soul that happens to be nearby. His mission is slowly driving him mad and has already made him paranoid.
