Alavda stood back and observed the boy. She had to admit, he seemed to somewhat know what he was doing. She wondered if his dismount was intended?
"Interesting way to kill...that" she said, already forgetting the name. Razerback maybe? "How do you say it? I give your landing a perfect ten?" She did not introduce herself yet. She would let Sam take the lead on this one. This island was new to her, and she wasn't sure what to make of this situation yet.

The boy seemed eager to turn and see his audience. There was the slightest of momentary hesitations when he saw Alavda, but he never lost his composure or his cheesy grin.
"Glad to know I'm making a good first impression." He said, removing the wooden staff from the boar's tusks. "I didn't think anyone was out here. Was I that noisy?"

Krista sighed as she was already late for meeting Sam on her outing today. Gosh darn conversation she was having with a spectral about the America's before the Europeans came in was so interesting she lost track of time. She made sure she brought some sugar cookies to make up for her tardiness when she heard the thunderous sound coming rather close to where she was suppose to meet Sam.
'Oh no...Sammie!' She softly yelled as she ran in the direction of the sound. After about 15 minutes she found it and actually yelled. "Sammie! Are you ok?" When she saw that Sam was being her normal self, she sighed in relief. "Was it Elle's idea to do this?" She asked then looked over at the new guy and the other dark haired woman that was accompanying Sam. She went back to her normally quiet self as she slowly walked over to Sam and gave her the basket. "I-I ma-made these for you.." She tried to be as quiet as she could as she just sat down and looked at the dead hog with a frown.
“We heard you way the heck over there” Sam pointed in the general direction of where they had come from. She grinned when she spotted Krista approaching, before getting a little sheepish.
“Thank you for the cookies, Crystal Clean. Sorry I wasn’t there to meet you, adventure happened” She apologized, taking the basket. “Somebody was hunting boar.” She said, looking over to the blue haired boy. “And trees, apparently.”
“Do I know him?” She thought in confusion.
“Don’t ask me. I don’t know things!” Elle answered.

Cyrus leaned back a bit at Sammie's insinuations, putting a hand on his chest as if stricken, although clearly kidding. "Hey, I was asked to kill that thing. Politely, in fact... The trees were, uh... I... co-collateral damage." He stammered out, trying to remain professional through his slight embarrassment. He normally liked attention, but this felt a little accusatory.

"No no, i-it's ok Sammie, I was l-l-late anyways.." Krista said, now starting to mess with on of her earrings as she tried to look back up at the group. "Why would someone asking you to kill something that was not hurting anyone? Why are there such cruel people out there.." Krista replied, mostly to herself. She looked over at the darker looking woman and wondered what she had to say about all of this. She seemed innocent enough, not like she had a plan to take over the world or anything.

"One would think you were trying to make the meadow explode." Alavda stated dryly. She wasn't so upset out the trees. They would grow back. It was just how noisy the whole thing had been. Maybe she should have taken a nap before wandering around...
She turned toward the sound of hurried footsteps. Maybe this meadow wouldn't be a quiet place to gather her thoughts after all. She spied a blue haired girl...that made two blue-haired people in the meadow. She wondered if they were related somehow. Or they both could have dyed their hair, that was possible too. She seemed to know Sam. Alavda leaned forward a bit to see what she had handed her tall companion. Cookies?
The girl -was her name Crystal?- looked very shy. It made Alavda immediately like her since she could also be shy or quiet.
She turned her attention back to the boy, "I hope this doesn't sound rude," she said, her French accent making her words sound a bit exotic, "but who are you and did you say that someone hired you to do this?"

"Alright, alright! Look!" Cyrus wove his hands back and forth, trying to remove the suspicion from him any way possible. His face seemed rather distraught, and his cheeks were a bit rosy. "My name is Cyrus Shatterheart. I came to this island looking for work, and I wanted to be a sellsword. So as my first job, a distraught but wealthy business owner hired me to kill a man-eating hell pig. I don't remember the details, but I guess it killed his son and his 12 deep hunting party. And had I not attacked it so hastily, and had it perchance picked up 'your' scents..." He pointed to Alavda and Sam. "I believe it may have tried to attack you, too. Unless it had a crippling fear of vampires... Cuz it certainly wasn't afraid of a sorcerer." He said that last bit looking back at the felled beast spitefully.
“Oh. Well that makes sense then.” Sam nodded, taking a bite of a cookie thoughtfully. “Good job, Mr…shatterheart, was it?” She asked, no snark or anything else in her tone. She genuinely meant the compliment.
“How did he know you’re a sorcerer?”
“Uh…takes one to know one?” Sam thought. She finished her cookie
“These are really good, Krista!” She said gratefully to the blue haired girl, cutting off ells next comment. Elle just huffed annoyedly.

"Tha-thank you Sammie.." Krista said as she looked at the new guy again and tilted her head. "How did you know what we were? I did not even know that sh-she was a vampire..." She said, pointing at Alavda, her face starting to get red from hearing her voice too much. She looked between the two. She was now a little more wary of the black haired woman with the darker clothing. She knew that vampires could control people in ways demons could. She grabbed onto Sam's arm.
"I don't know if we should stay here..." She whispered to her friend. "I want you to be safe and I'm afraid these people may hurt us."

Alavda listened to what Cyrus had to say. He seemed to be telling the truth, but she couldn't be sure. Truthsense was not one of her talents. For now, she would choose to trust that he was being honest, "Well, Mr. Sword-for-Hire, I should thank you, perhaps, for killing it before it caused us harm." She held out her hand which was covered with a charcoal colored glove that didn't go past her wrist, "Since I now know your name, you should know mine. I'm called Alavda Noir. A pleasure to meet you, I'm sure." Alavda didn't wonder why he knew what they were. If he were a vampire or a werewolf, she would assume that he smelled what they were. She herself, could now smell the aroma of mage since the smell of the meadow wasn't as strong here. Since he wasn't a vampire or a werewolf however, she thought that he may be familiar with the characteristics of other species or that he had a sense for these things. She'd seen it before. Not a common trait, but it wasn't unheard of.
She heard what the blue-haired, female mage said to Sam. The girl spoke quietly, so Alavda thought that she wasn't meant to hear the conversation, but it was hard to not eavesdrop when you had supernatural hearing...
So she gracefully tilted her head at the shy one and assured the girl, "You have nothing to fear from me, Cherie. I do not make a habit of harming others." her mouth softened into a small smile so that she appeared to be more friendly.

Krista noticed the woman coming slightly closer to her. She gripped onto Sam's arm tighter until she spoke. She slightly let go but her lip was still quivering. "H-how can I know that f-for sure..." Her voice even softer than when she was talking to Sam. The was scared out of her wits right now. She was not sure what to do, so she was waiting on Sam's reaction to know truly what should be done. However, if she did not reply soon there is a very good chance that Krista would ask a spirit or two to escort the woman in whatever way they could, even if one of them had to give her the courage to do it.

Cyrus felt instant relief when the girls lightened up. He smiled at Sam upon her compliment, already seeming to relax.
He was a bit surprised to see Ms. Noir extend her hand to him, but seemed to fall back into professional-mode rather quickly. He took it in a respectful fashion and bowed, holding his stick up like a walking cane. "Really, I do apologize for disrupting your collective days. I might be a bit bombastic when I'm in a good mood, but I'm excellent with finesse as well, I promise." He said with a smile.
Sam seemed surprisingly at ease. She smiled down at Krista. “Everything’s alright, Kristal Klean” She said softly, moving one of her hands to comfort the girl. “They aren’t going to hurt you”
She looked to Cyrus with a smile. “Well, we’ll have to take your word for it, won’t we?” She joked. She reached into the basket of baked goods, and pulled out one of the cookies. “and you are forgiven. I think this has given our days an interesting turn.” She said, tapping his nose with the cookie for emphasis before taking a bite.

Alavda, noticing that the blue haired girl appeared unnerved by her presence, took a step away from the girl. She couldn't blame her, really. If the girl knew what Alavda was, then it was only natural that she would be nervous at the very least. Although, the girl's fear drew the attention of the predator in her. Being a full blooded vampire of some years, however, she was able to easily stomp it down. "Sam is right..."what did Sam call her? "...Kristal. I won't hurt you. You'll find I'm one of the more friendly members of my species."
She wasn't entirely sure what "bombastic" meant. English, after all, was not her first language. An American song popped in her head, but the song and the context of Cyrus's current situation didn't match. She had to assume that it meant chaotic or something similar. She gave Cyrus a friendly smile, "No harm done, Minou. I was not going to stay long anyways. I was told that there was a sea food restaurant around Devora Acres that I would like to try out." she looked at all of the people present, "You all are welcome to join me, if you wish," Being so inviting was so strange to her. She didn't know why she was being that way now. She supposed that it was the atmosphere of the island, or perhaps a twinge of whimsy. Perhaps she was old enough that she could afford to be whimsical...maybe not though...
